On October 24, 2011, we lost a young man very near and dear to us – Juan Mendoza – to a fatal car accident. Juan started playing soccer with many of the boys on our current U17 boys’ team at the young age of 6 years old on a Marysville rec. team and then moved over to Legacy Select at U11. Not only was he a talented soccer player, he was also a top x-country runner and was scheduled to compete for State contention on Saturday. He was also a top student, an excellent leader, and a great friend to all. We will never forget you, Juan.
