Legacy FC was well represented at the Starfire FieldTurf Cup over Thanksgiving weekend. This was a great opportunity to play teams from Canada and Washington in a college showcase event. The goal of the tournament was to give players who desire to play soccer at the college level the opportunity to play in front of college coaches from throughout the Northwest. One of the highlights of the weekend was that the G94 team had gotten together and made leg bands in honor of Juan Mendoza #9. The ref in the first game knew who Juan was and told the captains that he wouldn’t be calling any fouls unless that leg band came off!
Overall it was a great tournament that featured outstanding team play as well as a few girls who stood out during the games. As a result from the hard work and outstanding play, several players have already been contacted by college coaches and we look forward to seeing what doors open up for others.
G93 Maroon 1 Win – 0 Losses - 3 Ties.
G94 Maroon 2 Wins – 1 Loss – 1 Tie and allowed only 1 goal in four games.
G96 Maroon 0 Wins – 3 losses – 1 Tie
